WE PUT THE TREE AND DECORATIONS UP LAST NIGHT

@Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 When hubby bought the Steiff cat, he may paid as much as he would have for a real pedigree kitten. He was right though when he said - 'Moggies' are best as loving pets and my little Tilly is proof of that, she is fourteen now.

The pedigree Siamese are really majestic and need special care, rather a status symbol for the idle rich. Did you ever see Disney's Lady and the Tramp? Lady's household had a pair of those cats and their behaviour was nearly true to form. Some people may have thought about having a pet cat for a while.

Wonder what funny noise they make @renatew5😺🐶, we have the dvd of Lady and the Tramp. I remember my mum saying that that Siamese cats were for the Goddess, and they would bend the tip of the tails so they wouldn't loose their rings when bathing. Or something like that, as a child i believed it.

@Pinkaholic79 💖🦄🌺 Their miaowing can be very high pitched and also sound like a baby crying. They also can be very sneaky and creepy. That can be a bit disturbing but it does not matter what cat it is, they are so very special and different to any other animal we have as pets and so very intelligent.

@Pinkaholic79 💖🦄🌺 Here is a photo I just took, alas, I forgot that Tramp the Schnauzer came to a sticky end when our previous dog Harry got hold of Tramp. Tramp had a 'growler' mechanism and when his belly was squeezed he growled and after a good shake and run around the garden the Tramp was no more, just a mess of stuffing and fur. They all get a little brush now and a quick misting of 'Fabreze'.

The little white mouse 'Pila', I bought myself together with the little pup at a hefty price of £55 after a 25% discount and that was 6 years ago.

Hi @dinky08 - According to the weather man, there is more snow on the way sometime after Wednesday. Ask mummy if you can see the TV BBC Weather report which is usually just before the hourly news. Or a phone app maybe and it also depends on where you live here in England. The Midlands is in the line of the snowfall this time. Being an old woman past the snowman making age and snowball fights (which I loved), I rather hide away in the warmth and watch from the window.

@Happygirl Ever since she had a nasty accident as an 11-month-old kitty with only a survival chance of 50% (she survived), she does not leave the garden or the over the fence jungle. She never goes out the front but will sit with Patty by the back gate watching the people go by on the road. Any big trucks or noise cars/motorbikes, she scarpers back around to the back door.

I used a few choice words to the moron next door, I don't think he even understood, his English was awful. All I got from him was, must work or no eat no money. I wonder sometimes what rubbish of society the government let into the country.

Yes, face masks are back compulsory in shops and public transport as from Tuesday and about time too, we never stopped wearing ours.

Do envy you with your lovely snow, did it snow much after?

@Happygirl It stopped just after 10 pm last night and with the hard frost, it is still on the ground with lots of Patty's and Tilly's paw prints criss-crossing the grass patch. According to my little information strip at the bottom of the screen it is still -2 degrees and it is now 9.15 am. It looks very Christmassy looking through the window but I do not like being outside. Just been to put some food out for the birds.

@renatew5😺🐶 I know what you mean, it is -1 outside here along the south coast. Glad you are feeding the birds, we are still feeding the squirrels and also the birds like those sun flower seeds too

We had a good covering of snow this morning as well @renatew5😺🐶 it took until this afternoon to all melt away. It was minus 2 degrees most of the day and risen to 4 degrees now. Brrrr.

@Happygirl Well, your lot was shared out between @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 and me. After the sun came out in the afternoon, it started to melt and by 8 pm the snow had all gone.

Thank you @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 , at first I put tinzel on it but then took it all off as it looked like a tree covered in wrapping paper ha ha ha,

@Happygirl Your tree looks magnificent and by the way, according to my 'Country Living Magazine, the right time is/was the 27th/28th of November for starting to put up the festive decorations to con-inside with the first Sunday of Advent which is today.

I have an advent wreath with the four candles courtesy of Lidl (artificial), denoting the four Advent Sundays. The tree goes up when it arrives from the Garden Centre. I have a pot-grown tree this year and it is a little 3 ft tree, which will go outside after Christmas and if I look after it well (feed & water it), it will do again next year. With good care, it should last but needs potting-on every two years. Delivery is anytime after the 1st Dec. and I shall leave it outside in the greenhouse until the 15th Dec., which was my hubby's birthday and it will be dressed with all his favourite baubles & drinkets.

@renatew5😺🐶 Oh thank you for that renate, we are both still aching from it ha ha but at least today we could give away some of our decorations to our friends who have little.

@Happygirl his parents split up a year ago and he lives with his dad and little sister now. his new school have been great with him, recognising his talents with tech. He has been invited to join a special group at Lancaster Grammar school for the academically gifted. The first subject is Space and vehicles that explore it.

He's a bit of a memory man as well and can remember dates and models of all things tech. If we are buying something electrical or electronic, phones, computers etc we always ask Kieran his opinion first.he's only 8

Doesn't stop him having a meltdown if he hears a baby cry at the other side of a supermarket though.

@roz Oh bless him, they do say that these children are gifted in other ways.

It often makes me wonder about our Heavenly Father but I always pray, to look at me then no one would think me as religious but I have always prayed and much more so these last few years too.

I loathe to see any unjust in this world that we live in and I get quite upset at times and all this new technology scares me so much.
