@Happygirl Have you marked a nice little sunny spot in the garden yet to rest Skippy's ashes? All our previous pussies have a special resting place on the border of the garden. To the left of the Bay tree is the Pussy Spot and to the right is the Doggy Spot with lots of different plants and ornaments. It needs a good tidy-up and replanting with some nice plants and flowering bulbs. I have some snowdrop bulbs, 24 in all, and was thinking of planting them in little clumps of 6 around the markers, hopefully, this weekend.

I have had an apology from the neighbours and the heavy duty work has stopped but there is still a lot of thumping and drilling going on and always after normal working hours. They keep burning the surplus rubbish at night time before they go back to the in-laws. They have not moved in as yet. I think they are at the plastering, painting and fitting out stage. Apparently, the parents on both sides came here from Mauritius and are in the nursing profession and the couple that is moving in were born here but follow Islam and Fridays at present are very quiet and peaceful because they are all busy at the local Mosque, whereas Sundays they do not respect our Rest day and disturbing our peace. In the meantime, the neighbour on the other side furiously sweeps and cleans the mess which blows on to his drive back across. The wind has come up and some stuff from the skip keeps blowing about a bit. I am glad I have the hedge to stop some of the stuff coming into my front garden.

@renatew5😺🐶 I am glad things have quietened down somewhat for you. I would hate bonfires all of the time though.

We got Skippy back yesterday, at the moment he is sitting on his cushion with his favorite furry toy mouse, he was such a nervous little boy that we may just keep him inside with us as he was also a house cat too because he was just so nervous outside and if he ever got spooked then he would hide literally for hours and hours, that was one of the reasons we decided he would become a house cat and you know, he took to it like a duck to water renate, not once ever asking to go out. He just wanted and was so happy to be loved and spoilt , after his first year at being in an awful home before us.
