I did and the screen said that I was 8,434 in the queue and that if I held on I would get onto the site in over an hour! That is busy - even for a week-end. Seems it got even worse later on.
Went to Lidl and got straight on. Are Lidl just more efficient or is it something to do with the fact that you can make some on-line purchases and even do a 'click and collect' on some food items - not at all stores and sadly not at mine!

Went into an Aldi store once years ago - never again!! In fact, it put us off trying Lidl for years, thinking they would be the same!
I've only shopped a couple of times in Aldi, the 2 stores I visited ,1 was ok, but the other one was shambles, no order, everything was everywhere, if you get what I mean. Never really looked at their website. Tbh, Lidl is convenient as only 2 min walk, no need to drive hehe. And I like my local Lidl, it's always been good, clean and tidy. And staff pretty much helpful so far.
It is mainly a click and collect service. When they first started, it was for special larger middle aisle items (it started about Spring 2016). It was not for groceries and I don't think that they have an online groceries service with or without delivery as yet. Their prices would rise immediately. I used to shop at Aldi while the Kitts Green Lidl was rebuilt. It worked out rather pricy, free bus ride there but with the amount of shopping, I would not be able to manage to get on the bus and home, so a taxi had to be the mode of transport for the return journey. The cleanliness and shelf life was a bit suspect too. This was the outlet near the Heartlands Hospital, @Flossy 🧁🧁🧁🧁 .
Looking at the photoshoot, it was probably a lot of large garden furniture and gardening equipment. It is the time for it with Easter approaching and with more than three rays of sunshine, the BBQ is rolled out. @nabob
I am in the dark here, but do Aldi deliver groceries? If not, what were all those people looking to buy?
