Tesco, Asda, Morrisons & more recall milk alternative due to health fear - 'do not drink'
ALPRO MILK DRINK...........
This batch is being taken off the above supermarkets’ shelves immediately, as a precaution.
The Alpro Rice Drink is comes in a one-litre pack and the batch code affected is L0902.
It has a best before date of December 31, 2022.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) usually publishes every current food recall on its website. Its risk statement for the Alpro Rice Drink read: “This product contains oats (gluten) making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten.”
The FSA went on to give advice to customers, saying: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to oats or gluten, do not drink it.
“Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
“If you have any queries, please contact the Alpro Careline team on 0333 300 0900 or at Contact.”
Alpro UK Limited also stated its advice. The company said: “Customers who still have a product from this batch can return it to the shop.
“Anyone with this Alpro Rice drink with a best before date of 31/12/22 may return it to the shop where they bought it for a refund with or without a receipt.”
But Alpro wasn’t the only company to recall a product this week.
Waitrose has also issued a statement to let its customers know it is recalling a food item.
The supermarket is recalling its own brand Two British Hot Smoked Rainbow Trout Fillets because of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick, and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.

I love prawns, but don't often buy them, [@Happygirl], but I'm sure if someone buys them, can spot raw from cooked ones, and I'm guessing that's how they found out about it, luckily.
ainsbury's forced to recall food item after it could cause you to be seriously ill...
According to the recall, Sainsbury’s Cooked and Peeled Frozen Large King Prawns could actually contain uncooked prawns meaning it could make you seriously ill. Major types of food poisoning that can result from eating raw or undercooked fish and shellfish include Salmonella and Vibrio vulnificus.
Vibrio vulnificus is a bacterium that lives in warm seawater. While not as common as some other foodborne illnesses, experts estimate 80,000 illnesses are caused by Vibrio each year.
Sainsbury's has issued the warning on a number of batches of the product and said it has removed some batches from shelves. These are the packs that have been affected.

It has been brought to our attention that some packs of the above Cooked and Peeled Frozen Large King Prawns by Sainsbury's may contain undercooked prawns.
"We are asking all customers who have purchased the affected batch codes of these products not to consume them and to return them to their nearest Sainsbury's store where they will receive a full refund."

Not for us either [@Happygirl] but thank you.
Thankfully we don't buy this one @Happygirl I have the Alpro soya vanilla milk and Dennis has the chocolate one.
Who really buys this artificial "milk"? The posh mob perhaps and "Waitrose shoppers. What is wrong with the "Moo Juice?" Even with certain allergies, there are still refined milk products or good goat's milk. All these "man-made milk," are very costly to manufacture. There is nothing nicer than a long glass of very cold milk on a warm day like today or a hot mug of cocoa to send me to sleep.
As the ad says - you know when it's Waitrose- yes and be careful before you buy.
Keep those eyes peeled, @Happygirl
Thanks @Happygirl Always good to know.
Thank you [@Happygirl] .
we okay here, but thought would let you all know
