Hello, it's me again Happygirl, I thought it would be nice to share this Summer, birds and animals which visit your garden or maybe from your window for those of you who live in flats.

Well, not my pets! But I put out a little left over cat food, didn't want to bin it, so I thought, maybe some little animal may eat it over night. It was early evening, so we avoided the maggots! Yuk. But then I heard a such a racket! Only to find 3 seagulls eating it ๐คฃ
@happygirl @renatew5๐บ๐ถ we shouldn't really encourage wild birds because of the avian flu going round but we still feed the pigeon we call The Pied Piper and his family. He and his missus have been visiting daily for a few years now.
This is a photo of him from two years ago, he used to knock all the other birds off the feeding tray but over noticed lately a couple of others have been winning, he must be getting old. Such is life. Oh and we have Woody, a wood pigeon who comes just before dusk and clears up any left over food. He appears in the fence as I'm putting the girls to bed in the coop.
Yes, they are all rather cute. I watch them in the mornings. I think I have two Starling families but also a blackbird family and of course my sparrow family. There are the mums and dads picking at the insects in the grass followed by the wing flapping, squawking youngsters. The parents are trying hard to ignore them and showing at the same time what to do. Very cute and highly amusing. I noticed all those feeders @Happygirl , do you have to fill them up every day? I have several, even in the front garden, dangling from the tree. I even chop the top and bottom crusts from the bread up into tiny squares and mist them with water so that they are moist and soft to keep someone else's pigeons away from the good food. There is always a flock of 12 sitting on the roof. They are not feral and are ringed, some have two and three different coloured rings on them. Once they filled their crops, they bu**er back off home. I still have not found out where they come from. That is the reason for the large cage over the big ground feeding table, only for the little birds including blackbirds and starlings but not for crows, magpies and pigeons. However, the occasional squirrel will get in for a good scoff.
Summer will soon be here members and with it I hope new beginnings and regrowth โฅ
