We just wandered up to The Waterfront to a little Christmas Market. Rotary Club collecting for RNLI and a few stalls with various offerings - I manfully resisted the two of them offering flavoured Rums and one offering English wine (which, if you don't know, is really very good if rather expensive!) - swmbo was not quite so strong willed and bought 100 gms of dark (74%) artisan chocalte flavoured with sour cherriies - ยฃ4.50!! Still, supporting local trade!! Couple of photos of the harbour which is a bit like a massive Christmas grotto!!

I'll take a picture of a house tomorrow on my way to Karate, the house is completely covered! It's something to do with charity.
Jonathan and I went for a stroll about 4.30pm yesterday (Sunday) while swmbo was busy cooking a Lidl leg of lamb for dinner complete with my favourite onion sauce. This was one of the houses just along from The Waterfront on the north side of North Harbour.
I treated myself to a box of Lidl's own brand of 'Mon Cheri's whilst doing the shopping and used the ยฃ10 off coupon which John cut out of the free Metro Newspaper. That paid for the 'Seasonal Bouquet and a box of 'Thornton's Classic Chocolates.
I must say, @harryflatters that I am just a little envious because you really have moved to a nice place. Do enjoy.
My ongoing saga with the neighbours of hell seems to have turned a little in our favour. A second letter from the council informed them that they have to adhere strictly to the building rules and times. We have had so far two very peaceful days and I even heard the phone ringing and had a conversation with my gardener. The poor chap had his big van stolen from the drive. He was later informed by the police that the van was found but the blighters had ransacked it and damaged it because there was nothing valuable in it. Derek always empties the van and stores his equipment and tools in a special lockup. He was gutted but phoned back this late afternoon and they managed to get to a garage for the assessment and claim. Not a nice thing to happen so near Christmas.
Looks lovely @harryflatters, I'd have resisted the dark chocolate, I'm more the milky one.
Pictures look amazing @harryflatters , thank you for those
Wow that is lovely @harryflatters I think I'm with swmbo I would have done the same yum yum.
