Very impressive, You took that photo in the dark with your phone camera? @Pinkaholic79 💖🦄🌺 . Here is my miserable effort with my camera & flashlight of my effort of having draped a string of 200 lights to my 2 mini conifers and my mini blue Scottish fir tree.

I must have taken mine when the flashing lights were on the change to what is called a chasing flash.

Well I can see the tree @renatew5😺🐶, I used my phone camera, forgot to put it in night mode this time. But the house is bright enough anyway! 😁

Yeah you're right @harryflatters, but is was dark and may have looked a bit dodgy! Especially when hubby is telling you loudly to hurry up 😅

I hate to have a glance at their electric bill. I invested in some new lights for the tree. The big tree has lights that are electric and not enough really for a 6ft tree. I ordered 2 sets of fifty which are battery operated for indoor or outdoor use, plus a strip of 200 for indoor/outdoor use (nearly got myself tangled up in them). The big tree has now 50 red berry lights and 100-star lights. The berry light has eight different twinkle settings and is timed 5 hours on/18 hours off, which can be re-set. The little starlights are constant. If it is nice and still (not windy ), I will try and drape the string around the fir tree and adjacent conifers, I will try and send a photo of my daft effort.

Patty is going for her Christmas tittivation this afternoon (it will be a struggle to get her through the door at the Grooming Salon) but the end result will be that the house smells like 'Johnson's Baby Powder' for at least twenty-four hours and she will be nice and clean and trimmed.

@renatew5😺🐶 goodness me, that all sounds fantastic. I can't wait to see some photos! We certainly did manage to spend our voucher. Got the food vacuum wrapper wotsit which comes with 3 rolls of foodbags. It cost £19.99. Didn't realise they were also selling 'spare' bags of different sizes so bought a couple of those as well for a further £3.99 each. Meant we didn't have to buy quite so much food that we don't want to get to the required £40 spend! We put some food into the food bank box too.

Thank you @renatew5😺🐶 we are loving it here. By chance, I discovered a £10 off £40 spend Lidl voucher in the paper yesterday. doesn't appear to exclude 'middle of Lidl' so we are off in a minute to see if they have got any of those vacuum wrapper gadgets for food - Mark added one to his Christmas list yesterday! They are £19.99 so we will have to spend the other £20.01 on food although we don't really need any! It will have to be stuff that keeps like tins etc. and then, of course, we will have the problem of where to keep it - that's the one downside of living in our lovely little flat -storage space!! Still, it's a very small price to pay as far as we are concerned. We will put a good bit in the box for food handouts to those less fortunate. So sorry to hear about Derek's woes - in the old days, stealing a mans tools of his trade, which deprived him of the means to support himself and family, was punishable by execution - if I had my way it would still be!!
