Nasty people

It has been teeming with rain here too @harryflatters was hoping it would be dry tomorrow as we are having new windows put in. But, having seen the forecast for tomorrow, it will be worse 😒

Although I try not to upset people, I do think this PC business and 'woke' whatever that means, has now reached a level of ridiculous that I wouldn't have believed possible! @renatew5 and it's 'hissing' with rain here!!

I don't think I would be able to do that kind of job. I must admit, that at times I have to slap my own wrists and say to myself - slow down, do I really want to say/write that? and I have to think hard if I may be non PC or even the new one "WOKE" in my of thinking of "free speech". It is not only beady eyes you need but also the thick skin of a rhino and Teflon coating. @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 The water down a duck's back and the flying pigs go straight out the window.

Still not tempted in the least to join the FB Lidl "Fun Club". I have the same opinion as @Happygirl . With regards to the elusive Alice, perhaps she is still at the mad hatters party or chasing the white rabbit. Ahh, the life of being a Lidl monitor. At the last post, the old Lidl site had about a dozen of monitors and none of them were up to par.

Not bothering with them.

@Tanith It would seem it is the latter for some people unfortunately.

I wonder how the FB site is really working for Lidl. Has it increased sales? Has it decreased costs? Has it increased brand and corporate awareness? Has it decreased their approval rating?

OR are people on the FB site to complain about staff, products and other customers?

Like a good little girl, I have read all the posts and @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 's original post. Yes, it is annoying and I feel sorry for you but if you use FB, then you have to be prepared for any cranky person having a go. What I cannot understand is, that quite a few of you had to go and check it out. Personally, I have no time for FB. I still get messages about things I have missed and that is because I answered a message once from Steven who send me a funny story and I had a couple of messages from my son Michael's girlfriend but her type of conversation was so inane that I would not answer. The bits I have seen on FB were obviously send and composed by individuals with low brain capacity. I wonder dear @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 and dear @JustJoy , perhaps you have been picked on by some individuals because of what and who you are. You are upset and they are gleefully rubbing their hands because they have managed in a way to spoil your day. @Flossy 🧁🧁🧁🧁 @harryflatters and @Happygirl , You are back, hahaha!!

I think the moderators on the Lidl Facebook site are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot, just as they were on the final iteration of our old Lidl site - back in the good old days of Tom and Co. it would have been very quickly stamped on from a great height. I must say, I do miss those old days when the site was excellent but this forum makes up for it a bit, thanks to @Flossy 🧁🧁🧁🧁 ❤️

@Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 Just looked - surprised that it is still there and the culprit. As I did not see the post originally I am not sure if it has been amended, but bad language is still there and unacceptable and unnecessary. I reported it to their Admin but as others have also I suppose I will be ignored.

If anyone needs to use bad language on here - just block it out with ****'s please..

Just had a look. I remember in my teens swearing in front of my big sister. She told me that only people with a limited vocabulary resort to swearing.

This is probably the case, either that or he's very lonely it's the only way he can get folk to enter a conversation with him. Sad, so sad he had to destroy a radio to get a reaction.

I saw that exchange @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 -all very unnecessary, as bad language usually is. Having said that, if you stub your toe or hit your thumb with a hammer 'Oh deary me@ or 'Oh Bottom' doesn't really cut it @Tanith 😍

I can remember the 'Oh deary me' comment regarded as inflamatory. And 'Oh Bottom', if I was feeling really upset.

What people fail to understand is that when you get to using foul language (or fowl if you are talking about hens not laying) they have lost the argument. A well reasoned statement about why a refund should be given is more likely to be accepted than a rant using abusive language.

Needs a faster response, to get sorted. Take 'em down I say! 😂

Isn't it awful how they can use bad language! The moderators should be more on the ball, give them a warning, then delete them from site.
