Yes I dropped out as as I lost my lovely husband a year ago quite suddenly as the leukemia he had that had been humming away for years and behaving itself just went haywire.
Its been a year of adjustments and learning curves plus loosing a wonderful man that I was married to for just short of 60 years but I am managing and and now looking ahead as much as I can - besides the fact that I have major probs with subsidence along one side of the house (luckiy covered by insurance) its going to be a long job - and of course cant sell which I would have wanted to as the house and garden are way too big - until the job is done - and they have not started yet
otherwise doing ok - and hope to keep up the posts xx
'Ello @justjoy, just seen this and nothing different to say. Ghastly for you. I have no real experience of grief, [ok - cats] so shan't offer spurious "advice". Onwards and upwards, I guess! A side thought - if Chris and I make it to 60 years, we'll be er...131! eek.
@justjoy - tried to send you a message , but I don't have "permissions" to do so. Weird.
So sorry to hear your news @JustJoy After 60 years of together, being alone will take some adjustment, but my memory of you is of a strong and very capable lady.
It's natural too, to want to sell up, but such decisions are best left to be pondered rather than acted upon quickly after bereavement. In that respect getting the building works done on the house gives you the breathing space and the time to come to a considered decision.
It's good to see you back Joy
So lovely to hear from you @JustJoy , we lost contact and then @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 said your wonderful hubby had passed over and so I know what grief is like and let you grieve in your own way, we have missed you so very much, welcome home ♥
@JustJoy it's lovely to hear from you again but was sad to hear about your husband.
I hope you get your house problems sorted soon, perhaps moving house isn't meant to happen yet, the time will come.
Anyway I hope you get sorted soon.
Take care.

So very sorry to hear your sad news @JustJoy . Nice to see you back here and look forward to reading more of your posts. I trust the subsidence problem will be resolved before too many more months.
Hello @JustJoy, so sorry about your husband.
And re your home, I hope they start the job soon, then you can sell and get yourself a more comfortable place.
Be nice to see you here again, you can even take a look at @dinky08 page (he's my son, 10y) he partecipates occasionally too.
Take care and we're here for each other, whether is fun, sad or moaning.
