Goodbye decorations

Aw we did ours yesterday @harryflatters , I am going to miss that tree this year. WOW Seals, I would have been in my element

@Happygirl well, they are certainly in theirs!! The most we've had at any one time is four. One of the three today hung around after the tide floated it off the sandbank and swum around the harbour, which quite often happens. It's quite fun as they dive, sometimes for quite long periods, and you never know where they are going to pop up again!!

Yes she had tested positive five days before. She said that hopefully she would test negative soon.

I agree with you about the taxis as when the hospital got the big town ones to pick me up and take me home I was really scared as they are filthy and stink of garlic @renatew5😺🐶 and that is being so truthful too, I do not go out at all these days, not even for my early morning walk now, just get asda to deliver but am on a diet as from yesterday I have to lose the 2 stone I have put on since this virus thing started as I can really feel it now

@Happygirl That is a bad situation but are you on Steroid meds because they can add to drastic weight gain. Even with the pandemic now raging for two years, I have not lost any weight and have not gained any either, just steady on 68 kg. On a good day, I take Patty for a walk in the morning. (an amble around the park but a smaller circle, still taking an hour from start to finish). Steven takes her on other days.

The insulin and metformin tabs don't let me lose any weight. I did lose a little weight after my husband died, I came down two dress sizes from 20 to 16 and skirts & jeans to a size 14. As we are in 'Goodbye Decorations', the big tree is back in the box and the garage and most of the decorations in their boxes and cupboard, just the 2 lanterns and some seasonal ornaments and lights to go on the 6th January.

Weather permitting, I shall go and start tidying up the borders and beds in the garden. The snowdrops are poking through the soil and I have 2 pines (future Christmas trees if they take) to transplant and I also have 4 standard holly bushes to pot on. That's my exercise program in the planning stage.

@renatew5😺🐶 Yes I take many steroids and also I had half my thyroid out which they said after a year I will begin to put on weight and it is happening now, so fed up with it, I do not even recognize me in the mirror now

Hope your dad doesn't catch it [@Happygirl], it just shows, no matter what we do, it's everywhere.

@Happygirl I do hope your dad doesn't get it. It's everywhere now, our local doctors and nurses have tested positive, they have asked everyone to be patient (no pun intended) and gone back to telephone appointments for now.

I was walking Vinnie over the back of some flats near us last night when I spotted a lady I know with her little dog. It's a bit dark round there so I shouted hi before I got to her so as not to startle her. She shouted back "don't come near me I've got covid" apparently it was her fifth day and she had been very ill at first, both she and her man friend both have it. Needless to say I turned back and walked the other way saying I'd see her in a few days and hoped she would be better soon.

You are correct @roz as we do that too as it is supposed to be bad luck to take them down before then, we shall do it then and not before @Janet 💋🍰🍝🍹 @Pinkaholic79 💖🦄🌺 , I am going to miss the Christmas tree this Year, the first time with no tinzel on it but what a joy to put it on in the mornings,
