Not been well for a few weeks - not eating or drinking and bringing up pints of pure bile for several days, very weak and drowsy. Rob got doctor to visit me and she immediately sent for ambulance. Paramedics arrived almost at once and stayed with me until the ambulance came. Left poor Rob to cope with workman who was taking off the conservatory roof and pushing up garage roof tiles to get at box gutter and to deal with Autolycus who had his throat ripped open by another cat. It has been very painful for him but he is now recovering. Hated seeing Rob's face as they got me into the ambulance and he just stood in the road watching me go off.
Was discharged at midnight and came home in ambulance - doctor said didn't know what caused my illness but as I seemed a little better and it was not immediately life threatening I was better off going home. All blood tests came out negative and it was suggested that I see my doctor to get more tests done and CT scan asap.
sorry got to break off here - ambulance arriving to take me to Grantham for CT scan. Back again next day - When they got here they said they were booked to take me to Lincoln hospital - managed to convince them that I was booked in at Grantham. Ambulance got me to hospital an hour early and I had to wait for another ambulance to get me home - was nearly 7pm when got home - started out at just after noon. Not complaining - just glad they got me there and back. A nice kind doctor even made me a cup of tea and offered biscuits he had noticed that I had been sitting in the corner for hours. Can't praise our health service and workers enough. They are always there in an emergency.
It might be pancreatitis - no-one seems to know. Will have results next week. Hope they find something that can be fixed. Just hope that it's not a negative - I need to know what it is.
Rob and I had our Covid boosters the day before - arms painful but that's only reaction. Voluntary driver service got us to Grantham and back - 25 miles away.
On Monday and Tuesday this week finally got a cleaner. She is brilliant - the house has suffered lately as neither of us have been up to doing more than eating and sleeping. Eating has comprised of cornflakes for dinner too many times. I am feeling a lot better now and am able to eat and drink - still not up to cooking much and rely on Rob to do what he can - have even had McDonald's and a bacon bap delivered. Will be using the Uber service a lot in the next few weeks. Have also managed to get Asda delivery.
Nic and her dad Mick have also been a great help. They both live over 25 miles away so I don't like to ask too much from them. On the Sunday after I was back from A&E She came straight over - even though it was her birthday and she had planned a gettogether with her kids, partner and her 3 grand kids. She was a godsend without her that day I don't know how we would have managed at all. She was unaware that I had been taken to hospital. Mick took Rob to Aldi to get his cola - it's the only one that does not affect his diabetic balance and as he does not drink tea, coffee, chocolate, milk he really depends on it.
Had doctors appointment last week - a kind neighbour took me and waited for an hour in the carpark while they took blood tests - small veins, etc and they couldn't get much. Was prescribed anti biotic for urine infection and she then waited for another hour with me while the pharmacy made up the prescription. Wednesday this week had to go back for more blood tests as they didn't have enough to carry out all the tests. Was lucky and the voluntary driver who was booked to take us for Covid jabs was available to take me there.
Sorry am rambling a bit. Still exhausted and woolly headed. Am a lot better now and maybe soon I'll be back on Justwannachat. Has taken me a couple of days to write this - just kept coming back for few minutes and trying to remember what has been happening. Just remembered - I have cancelled my contact lenses as I can't put them in at the moment. Strangely my old glasses are much clearer than my new ones.
Forgot to take any tablets for over a week. No idea what to take and when. Update - have found my list and am now back taking them. Thank you all for your best wishes and emails. Sorry I haven't answered emails - thought it easier to put message on here.

Poor you. It is really difficult when no-one knows what causes a particular problem. Indeed, often the problem seen is not the actual issue. Remember the Rowan Atkinson sketch with a patient in hospital. 'I cant feel my legs', he says. 'No', says the doctor, 'We had to amputate your hands'.
Stay safe and warm; and good luck with all the other problems.
Oh dear @Flossy ๐ง๐ง so sorry to hear you're unwell, and still going through all this, I hope it all gets sorted soon. Just come back when you feel ready, we'll be here. Sending you hugs, take care my lovely.

Oh my @Flossy, so sorry to read all that you have been and are still going through. I hope it gets sorted soon and nothing too serious. Will be thinking of you. Take care my friend. Sending love. xx
Gosh @Flossy ๐ง๐ง you have been unwell. I do hope you get better soon.
If it is pancreatitis it's a horrible thing and I sympathise with you. Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy but if they can find and fix the cause of your illness it would be helpful. ( with me it was gallstones that caused the pancreatitis)
I hope you get it sorted and come back to us soon, with all the tests hopefully they should be able to give you a diagnosis soon.
Take care.
