Sunday afternoon the doorbell rang and on the doorstep was our neighbour - the one who baked dozens and dozens of wonderful cakes for our Coronation Street Party. She had a really pretty box in her hands all tied up with ribbon (the box was tied up not her hands). She asked me if I liked macaroons! Like them I just love them.
She had been baking and made an extra 15 for me. 15!!! It was a lovely surprise and very welcome. I obviously couldn't thank her enough. Later today I will pop down and give her a thank you note and a miniature rose bush.
Photo is of the box and it's contents - minus of course the ones I had to sample. They are absolutely perfect - even have shimmery glitter. I have never had better ones.
