I had an e-mail last night just as I was closing down. All written in Dutch and the only recognisable word among other info was the Covid test. Just deleted it and closed it down.
This morning, however, about 15 minutes ago checking my e-mails, there was another one. This time in Dutch including a number and underneath the message was repeated in English including a patient number for a so-called covid test result which I could have within 15 minutes via the internet. First I have never had a test, second, the patient number was all wrong and thirdly there was no form of identifying letterhead. Then again, I did not open the e-mail fully, only curious fools would be tempted. BEWARE!!
Assume (well actually you should never assume) that everything you get is a scam. You will never win anything, nothing is awaiting delivery, no tax refunds. NEVER click on a link. Your computer and its software are always working. Your internet link is working fine.
If you believe that you have won something then go directly to that site and enter your details (e-mail from a company trying to deliver will have a TRACKING number, go to the site and enter the number. DO NOT click on the link with the number in it).
You have been warned.
I keep getting a txt from Hermes, saying they tried to deliver a parcel, I wasn't in (but I was) and need to pay ยฃ** for redelivery. So on Monday I filled in the form with everything fake, all 0 numbers, and it said thank you and they would deliver. Nope nothing arrived ๐ .
I have tried on numerous occasions but the line is usually engaged, so I have given up hope and just delete the e-mails. The phone block however works very well on the landline for ยฃ3.69 per month. @Flossy ๐ง๐ง๐ง
I had a text today - from 'Tesco' telling me that I had won a raffle or something. Just deleted it and blocked number. Should have reported it but didn't have time. Usually do report all the scam emails and phone calls. Wil;; have to add texts to the list now.
A while back I even had a phone call from 'the police' - I reported that one and it started a major investigation - don't know outcome.
Oooh thank you very much @renatew5๐บ๐ถ , i used to be very gullible on the internet but not any more, thank you for this i have just told hubby too,as he got caught out with the telephone scam when they said press one as he didn't know being from abroad. Thank you very much again,In the end we changed our telephone number as it got that bad.
