Is it just round here or has anyone else noticed a complete dearth of onion rings? We love beer battered onion rings, especially with our steaks. Neither Lidl, Asda or Tesco have had any in stock for ages now. Not even 'breaded' never mind 'battered'!!! What's going on??!!

Co-incidence? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-59280849 .
I suppose it would be conspicuous asking for 418kg of frozen onion rings. Even if it was suggested that they were going into the freezer.
I managed to get some eggs in Lidl on Friday's shopping trip but only the golden yolk ones were left (the most pricey ones). I don't mind, I usually have the organic eggs. My Christmas cake is gently baking at present and the only egg left out of a box of six, will be lovingly scrambled for my toast in the morning.
I'm glad you were able to get the onion rings @harryflatters .... hope you enjoy them. I haven't tried the Cajun ones, will look out for them.
Funnily enough @nabob we went to explore nearby Langney Shopping Centre this morning. They have an Iceland and sure enough they had onion rings! We got one of each of Cajun ones and ordinary ones. Having with our Lidl steaks tomorrow.
Yes. We need a few more worlds.
Eggs in short supply at Lidl!
I know what you are going through dear @harryflatters. I have the same problem with Harvest Basket Potatoes Croquettes, the frozen kind, not a bag sight for months. There are a few fresh ones from Chef Select at Lidl but they are rubbish because they spread all over the place when heated in the oven and yes, here in Birmingham too, no onion rings in Lidl and I don't know about the other supermarket outlets. The Bakery/Bread shelves and the egg shelves were near enough empty, no croissants and no UHT semi milk but I got a nice piece of crackling roast pork with stuffing. Lots of fresh fruit and veg and most of the veg all carry the Union Jack Flag all home grown in our various farming counties. Some of the frozen foods are a bit low but these are the foods I call - Mum too busy and kids too fussy. Lot of mineral water in Lidl of both still and carbonated. Again, the shortage is the squashes and cheap fizzy pops. What also is getting low are the washing tabs and liquid, the soft rinse and stain remover powders. I made sure I just got one of each. @Happygirl
Not noticed those @harryflatters , but around here we cannot get mineral water and the frozen section is always pretty well empty
Round here we seem to have shortage of crisps, and some cleaning products. Shelves are pretty empty, going shopping for... Well.. Whatever you can find 😅. @harryflatters.
I can highly recommend these, @harryflatters not bought them in the last few months though!
