Just had the last four of a dozen Lidl 'very large' free range eggs scrambled for breakfast with lots of cheese and chopped pepperoni - all twelve have been double yolkers!! Must be some sort of record!! Delicious it was too!! Hope I can get some more later today. They disappeared for a couple of months a few weeks ago but now they are back - to stay I hope!

I'm surprised as well @renatew5๐บ๐ถ that the meat was not priced up. They nearly all put a ticket up showing ยฃ's per kilo at least! I wouldn't be able to resist either - we love lambs liver and your dinner sounds great. Love black pudding at breakfast too!!
I never buy more than half a dozen and only the organic ones and when they have run out I have the 'golden yolks' instead and have only once had a pack where all of them were doubles. I have a shopping trip planned for today at Lidl and eggs are on the list. Here is hoping?
After ordering and paying for sister in law's birthday flowers and a visit to the bank, I had a quick look at the butcher's next door. He had lovely fresh Lamb's liver on a tray and beautiful proper black pudding on display and I could not resist and come home with a pound of liver and a small black pudding. What surprised me though, was, that all his wares had no price tickets on display. The only item priced were the samosas at 49p each, I had six and all in all not much change out of ยฃ10.
Well, John will have Pizza tonight and I shall have pan-fried liver with apples & onions and some butter braised courgettes, he does not like liver or courgettes. For lunch, I shall have some salad and 2 samosas, the other 4 ended up in John's sandwich box. @harryflatters @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น @roz @Happygirl
Lovely jubbly @harryflatters , my Mother used to grade eggs on an egg farm and she taught me how to tell if one is a double yoker, you lucky thing you

Oh yum @harryflatters I had 6 double yolks once but never a dozen! Wow.
