Just wondered if this would be of interest to anyone regards the vaccines.

With the vaccination rollout now underway, everyone at Age UK has been working hard to ensure the Government makes the process as straightforward as possible for older people.
It’s been fantastic to hear from campaigners who have now had their first vaccine. I know there are many more of you who are eagerly waiting for an appointment, and some people have been in touch to ask me questions about the vaccination programme.
To help answer these, Age UK has put together some coronavirus vaccination FAQs. Our website has helpful information on how the vaccine works, what to expect when you have your appointment, and what to do if you can’t travel to a vaccination centre. It also explains why there is an up-to-12-week gap between doses, something many of you have asked me about.

When it’s time, you’ll be invited to get a vaccine by the NHS – this might be through a letter, email, text or phone call from your GP. I know some of you are concerned about scams, so I also recommend reading this Age UK blog on what you should look out for. Remember, you’ll never be asked to pay for your vaccine or provide bank details to the NHS.
I’m urging MPs to share this information in their communities, and to do everything they can to support their older constituents through this vaccination process.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Best wishes,
