Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury's issue 'do not eat' warning after 'plastic and metal' found in some products

A range of popular food items have been recalled from four popular British supermarkets amid fears of health risks.

Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons are among the stores urging customers not to eat certain items - and instead return them for a refund.

The product recall warnings have been issued for a number of reasons including food allergies, incorrect packaging, and choking hazards.

Sainsbury's

SFC Wholesale Ltd is recalling The Original SFC Bargain Box as it contains milk, which is not mentioned on the label.

Morrisons

Morrisons has issued an urgent recall over a its own brand chocolate-covered ice cream over fears it may contain pieces of plastic.

The Food Standards Agency issued the health warning over the Amour Classic Vanilla Ice Cream, stating: “The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat."

Tesco

Tesco is recalling Jack’s 50% Reduced Fat Salad Cream and Tesco 50% Less Fat Salad Cream because they contain milk.

This ingredient is not mentioned on the label, making it a potential risk for people with dairy allergies.

Thank you for this, I don't shop anymore in tesco or sainsbury's, as we have lidl nearby. If we do go to T or S it would be a once in a blue moon treat 😅

All those outlets you have mentioned are not on my radar. They are all some travelling distance away and some of the items mentioned have never been on my usual shopping list and I have never been a fan of "Ready Meals". Extra Special Lamb Moussaka, sounds good but I would not buy it and rather do cook my own or "Salad Cream", in my opinion, there is nothing more revolting, whether standard, extra rich or fat reduced. Yuk, my mother in law, rest her soul, used swear by Heinz Salad Cream, which was more than a staple in her cupboards. Just the thought of it makes me cringe.

Still, @Happygirl thank you for the info, keep them peeled (your eyes, I mean).
