ANOTHER RECALL .........
Urgent recall of popular yoghurts after product found to contain pieces of metal
The maker of a yoghurt brand is recalling its variety packs after some were found to contain pieces of metal.
Frubes are small tubes of fruit-flavoured yoghurt aimed at children and made by Yoplait.
They were the first brand of the dessert aimed specifically at children, and kids under the age of three are the biggest consumers of yoghurt in the UK.
Now Yoplait is recalling its Frubes strawberry, red berry and peach variety pack because of the issue.
A Yoplait statement said: "Although only a small number of products are expected to be affected, Yoplait is recalling the full range of this product, with the listed use by date, putting customers safety as our ultimate priority."
Frubes variety packs have nine tubes, each containing 37g of yoghurt.
Worried parents will know if they have a pack of contaminated Frubes because it will have the expiry date of February 9, 2022.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) regulator said today: "Small metal pieces have been found in the peach flavour within the multipack which makes this product unsafe to eat."
All stores that sell the problematic Frubes will put up signs letting customers know about the recall.
The FSA said that customers who bought the contaminated Frubes should return them to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
You do not need a receipt to get the refund.
A Yoplait spokesperson said: "At Yoplait, we always put consumers first, and so we are issuing a precautionary recall of a small number of Frubes Strawberry, Red Berry & Peach Variety Packs 9x37g, due to the potential presence of small metal pieces in the peach flavour.
"If you have this product, with a use by date of 09.02.2022, and it was purchased from the Co-op or a local convenience store, please return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund. No other Yoplait or Frubes products are affected by this recall."
For more information on the recall consumers can contact Yoplait on (UK) 0800 358 0401.

Both sounds yummy @nabob and @harryflatters.
We sometimes do cheese and bacon puff things [@Happygirl], cut pastry in to squares, add a slice of bacon, some cheese, either grated or sliced, fold opposite corners and egg wash. (or cheese, tomato and basil)Bake for apx 15 at 180c Also sweet tooth version with Nutella, and icing sugar once cooled down.
Yes, at least they did, only been in once recently. [@Happygirl] I think it was in a green coloured box in the chilled section. They did do shortcrust too ....
@harryflatters another excellent way of producing superior results.
You'll never BUY another sausage roll after these ....
Phew, my two recent purchases of puff pastry from Sainsbury's are dated 14 and 16 January. Thanks [@Happygirl]
Thank you @Happygirl I have been buying the Lidl ones too @Pinkaholic79 💖🦄🌺
We do occasionally buy the puff pastry, but from lidl now, [@Happygirl], good to know, but it seems to be happening a lot lately food recalls.
we use neither of these items but thought I had better let you all know ♥
