Sainsburys are now recycling plastic items that our Councils won't recycle. I think this a great idea and have already started saving bits to take on our next visit.
That's good to know @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น, but nowadays I shop in lidl as its a few min walk. Wonder if they'll follow with recycling, my local one recycles batteries for now.

Recycling should be the penultimate step before throwing it away (ROT). Before that
Refuse (do I actually need it)
Reduce (dont have so many items)
Re-use (those single use items can actually be reused)
Repair (just because it is not perfect does not mean it cannot be used, with a little skill)
Re-purpose (Use it for something else)
Recover (If it is really not repairable then make something else, usually by taking apart)
Re-cycle
Rot!
Morrisons will pay YOU 10p for each Morrisons plastic bag you return when you shop online.
Is that the same as Tesco does with their large bins outside of their stores @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น
