So yesterday I had an online meeting with Dinkys teacher, I was dreading it! Only because lil man has some attitude since homeschooling in lockdown!
BUT... the teacher only had very good things to say, he settled back in school really well, he's learning is pretty good, his reading well that's very good, he'll even read with voices and passion. Math is doing well too. So I was WOW!
His class is learning about Vikings, so Dinky decided it was a good idea to make a long boat to take in too school. Teacher was very impressed and Dinky managed to stand in front of his class and talked about it with some help from teacher. Because he took his lesson to the next level he ended up with a head teacher award! And a math challenge award and to top it off he (among other 2 in his class) won the egg coloring competition! His with another 23 eggs will be laminated and displayed on Monday in our local nature reserve, where an Easter egg hunt has been arranged, weather permitting. (I'll try and get a picture of it)
As per me, well, I got a food box and candle from work. All the staff got one, it's a thank you from the parents for working in these hard time. How nice.
What a great end of term!

Is Dinky interested in the oceans and it's creatures? It is fascinating to learn new things about them, even to me! I watched a programme recently about the Octopus and do you know it has three hearts! Sorry to go on..... @Pinkaholic79 ๐๐ฆ๐บ

Thank you @roz it is, and I'm having it today with hubby, so much food in there. Yes [@Happygirl] didn't realise how well he was doing, as he had lost interest at home.

Dinky is doing so well, bless his little heart and is thriving now back at school and that goes to show WHAT GREAT PARENTS YOU HAVE BEEN TO HIM, ESPECIALLY IN THE LOCK DOWN too.
