Did anyone watch the funeral yesterday. My heart went out to The Queen she looked so forlorn sitting by herself in the Chapel. Hubby and I thought she looked quite frail as she walked into the Chapel.
It brings into perspective what other families have endured when a loved one died during the pandemic.
When I saw the photo of HRH, I immediately recalled Poirot, raising his bowler, as he departed. in the introduction of each episode.
Alternatively, Morcambe and Wise singing 'Bring me Sunshine'. Remember them, at the end of the show, dancing off the stage, one hand behind their top hatted heads. Really fitting methinks.
No didn't watch it, I'm afraid.
@Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น I put those very words in a condolence card sent to my nieces husband when his father died suddenly earlier this year. ๐
Yes, our Queen and my mum share the birth year and one month apart. Mum was born 21/03/26 and our Queen on 21/04/26. So, I always remember and I have our England flag with St George ready to get hoisted on the 21st April for her birthday. The official birthday is beginning of June sometime.
It brought back some sad memories of seeing the Lady sitting all alone in her sorrow. I wish her well. There are still so many times, even now after 14 years when I think, I wish John could be here now. @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น @margaret.s

Yes @margaret.s I found it quite emotional watching her walk into the church and sitting on her own. I mentioned to Dennis how frail she looked and it reminded me of my mum. The Queen was one year younger than my mum. @Happygirl
This is the picture that the Royal Family released of him for the public, very fitting for a Gentleman i thought. @margaret.s
