Never heard of it but got some at Lidl this morning - Kalettes. Anybody else heard of them or eaten them? We are having them for dinner with hake and pommes noisette, also from Lidl. Will let you know what we think. Developed about 20 years ago, they are a cross between Kale and Brussel sprouts, both of which we enjoy. Grown in Lincolnshire, so we are supporting UK farming as well!!

I saw them advertised in the leaflet.I recall buying them a good few years ago when they briefly stocked them. Yes, full of goodness!
Pleased to report that, not surprisingly, we enjoyed the Kalettes very much. Think they can also be called 'flower kale', apparently to distance them from sprouts which, famously, many don't like! Looks a bit like a little dark green flower tinged with purple. Tastes similar to kale but maybe a bit stronger. It's got a lot more of the good vitamins etc than either of kale or brussels, apparently! Having the other half of the packet with our steak in a minute and hope to get some more from Lidl tomorrow - that's got to be a recommendation!
What does it even look like? How was it? @harryflatters .
@harryflatters sound interesting
Let us know what they taste like.
Yes we have had them @harryflatters very nice. I have a recipe from Lidl which I had from the original forum we were on. Will find it and add in the recipe section for you.
