Just over 2 weeks ago I spoke to someone who heads up the "Support for Carers" group in Andover. It was to give me information as an unpaid carer for Dennis. She advised me to get registered at our surgery so it is noted for reference at anytime and she also passed my information on to the "Princess Royal Trust" for carers. On Friday I had a call from the "P.R.T" to arrange a phone call tomorrow to set up an emergency package and funding, to put in place for when I may need it in the future. Once this is done then I won't have worry about it at a later date. I was surprised at how quickly this has all come about but it is good to know help is out there for anyone who needs it.

Inside every problem are two additional problems and several catastrophes just waiting to get out.
Very good news @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น to hear of this plan. Well organized by the sound of it.
That's excellent @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น good to know and have for later date. And how quickly it was sorted, well done.
Thank you all. I was telling a friend about this and she said where she lives, they don't get a good service like this as can wait for a very long time before anything is done. @harryflatters @roz @margaret.s I was also asked if I had claimed for an Attendance allowance ? but as Dennis is still able to do things for himself ( dress, feed and just normal things for himself) we are not able to claim that at the moment. I hope it will be that way for a long time to come yet.... ๐
Wow, that's excellent @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น good for you. And thank you for telling us about all this. I, for one, had no idea such resources existed and I am sure many others will be the same. I don't need any of it now but who knows what I might need in future.
That's all good @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น the more help you can organise now, the better it will be in the future.
That's good @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น one less thing on your mind. ๐
