Ever had one of those days when you get up all happy and ready to face Monday morning? Well today started off like that.
Made several lists of things that need to be done. Had a cup of tea and a banana - then sat down at the laptop to do the first thing on my list - check emails as I haven't been on line for a couple of days. Then on page three of my messages I found another ransom demand!
Spent the next four hours - 4 hours!! - trying to trace anything that had been downloaded onto my machine. Even got the McAfee tech bloke to check with me. We found that nothing has penetrated yet. I'll just have to keep checking - don't know for how long. Forwarded the offending email to everyone I could think of who would be interested.
Will catch up on here later. One of the things on my list is to find my tablet cable - there's a big box full of cables in Gummo's room - think I'll hide in there for the afternoon.
Tomorrow I might just stay in bed - then the virus's can't get me.
Oh dear @Flossy đ§đ§đ§ so sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it. technology wise. Thankfully, I've never had any of those 'ransom' demands! Get frequent emails purporting to be from a friend of mine. Hovering over his name as sender reveals a different email address from his - yesterdays was from Mexico!! I just delete them unopened. I used to send him a mail saying he had been hijacked but don't bother any more! He used to be in charge of IT for East Sussex schools!!!
