Mark and his two boys were coming for Christmas. Then the french froggie ba**erds cut up rough! He tried to beat deadline but, having driven from home for over two hours, was turned away at the tunnel Saturday!! Spent all day Sunday and eventually worked out that Eurostar from Brussels to St Pancras was possible. At vast expense, got tickets and they arrived yesterday, staying at Jonathan's flat in Lewes over night (Jonathan has been staying at ours!). Today, we all travelled to our rented house in Cooden Drive, near Bexhill. It's a lovely place and they have done a great job with tree, Christmas table etc! Typing this after my first G&T, waiting for our curry to arrive! Many times, I thought we'd never make it so really happy to all be together!

After all the hard work to try and get the family together, you really all deserve a very merry and happy Christmas together. I bet the curry was top-notch. A good Indian meal with all the trimmings makes a good get-together great. It tastes so much better when all the cooking is done by someone else.
We are having 'Butter Chicken' tonight, which is one of the mildest and alas, it is a ready-made cook-in sauce, gently poured over two chicken breast filets and baked in the oven. Something warming to send John out on his second last night shift before Christmas. @harryflatters
