EastEnders star June Brown, best known for her role as Dot Cotton, has died at the age of 95.
Her family revealed they were “deeply saddened” to tell the world their “beloved mother” had died.
She died peacefully at her home in Surrey on Sunday, her family said.
The statement from Brown’s family read: “We are deeply saddened to announce our beloved mother, June, passed away very peacefully at her home in Surrey on Sunday evening, with her family by her side.
“We would kindly ask that our privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”
The actress was a fan favourite on EastEnders for three decades before she left in 2020.

I only saw a few episodes when it first started but couldn't get into it @Happygirl She certainly lived a good life!
We still watch it [@Happygirl], June was a very good actress, she lived to a good age, and passed peacefully, I bet they'll do an episode in her honor, she definitely deserves it.
A really good actress, good old Dot ♥
I used to watch Eastenders years ago but have not in about 12 years now, but it was very good in its day, apart from that we do not watch any soaps as they are not real to life these days.
she will be sadly missed ♥
