The 'easy' way to tell is to let the cursor hover over the 'click' button (you can do this with every button or link on any web page) AND HOVER do NOT click. The 'click' address will show in the bottom Left Hand Side of the browser; right at the bottom. The address should be similar to the actual web page eg if the website is https://www.nhs.uk/ then the click button should be https://www.nhs.uk/(subpages etc or number or random text). The BBC use page numbers on their subpages. Most scams use a completely different address.
Also the address should start https (NOTE the 's'). That means it is 'supposedly secure.
Excellent and helpful @Tanith and to left of 'https' is a padlock symbol. In this case it should appear 'locked' - sites not secured will have a padlock 'unlocked' and be 'http'. If you left click on the secure padlock, you will be given options to see more info about the site.
Forward it to ActionFraud.police.uk. If you receive a text, forward that to 7726 without saying anything extra. They will write back and ask you for the phone no. it came from, as, for some reason, the number doesn't get forwarded, so wait until after you've told them to delete it.. @Pinkaholic79 ๐๐ฆ๐บ@renatew5๐บ๐ถ@harryflatters
Thanks for all your answers to @roz . I have not seen this but thanks so much for bringing it to us. You do have to be so careful these days and like @renatew5๐บ๐ถ says someone has been quick off the mark thinking this one up.
Like every one else said, it's a scam. NHS have your details, so it would say Dear "Roz" (your name) and more likely have your NHS number on it too. I haven't had one either. Good thing the link didn't work. Can't see any phone numbers either @roz
I get to odd scam computerised calls on my mobile, that's it, silly callers on landline, but that's my fault as I haven't activated my call blocker yet. I use my tab for games only @renatew5๐บ๐ถ.
@Pinkaholic79 ๐๐ฆ๐บ I bought this laptop in 2015 one of the reasons were the lines in communications from both the Dogs Trust and the Cat Protection of which I am a supporter. The tempting sentences - Please visit our website for more info/stories & pictures. then discovered all the different games and thoroughly enjoy the Microsoft Solitaire, Mahjong &Treasure Hunt games. Lately, I got hooked on word games too. Then I joined the MyLidl forum and I then discovered a whole lot of other things including Amazon & Lily's Kitchen food for pets. I even had a PayPal a/c which I closed after someone tried to a scam but my extra security package flashed a warning. The account was empty anyway and I closed it.
Having had a close look at the setup, it has a scam written all over it. I am a bit a political animal and admit that on a daily basis I look in on the parliament channel and the digital vaccination passport does not exist, it is still being talked about and still is a no-no. Usually, it is some African or Asian clever d**k jumping the gun.
For starters, the layout is all wrong and as @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น says in her answer, the Sir/Madam is all wrong for starters.
No @roz I haven't had this... but looking at it and stating to - Dear Sir/Madam, makes me think it is bogus. If they have your email address and it is genuine, surely it would state your name???
Can't speak as to whether this particular link is a scam or not. The digital passport thingy is certainly a 'thing'. If you haven't got the 'right' sort of phone (like me!!) you can apply for confirmation of your double jab status by a letter issued to you from NHS - indeed, some countries I believe will only accept this form and not the app!!
@harryflatters@Happygirl I intend to use the little card that they scribble on when you have the vaccination (I refuse to say jab). It has the batch no. etc. Except nobody wrote my name on it! Doh....

@duchess, thank you for this information.
De nada, @roz x
