Yes that's me!
Got a new mobile phone last September. Thought it was time to change as my previous one has a cracked screen and although I have had a replacement screen ready to change over I just can't seem to get round to fixing it. I dropped the phone during the first week I had it - no insurance - and the cracks seem to get worse all the time. So much so that I began to actually like the mandala effect it made.

So I got a new mobile. Nothing special - a Samsung Galaxy A13. Some people never learn! No insurance and yes you guessed it. I dropped my new phone on the kitchen floor and made a nice crack right across the screen. Again in the first week. Over the past few months more and more cracks have appeared. Last night I decided that the glass was about to fall out - so I took the screen saver off.
I then looked closely at the screensaver with the intention of cleaning it. It was breaking up in my hands. I then looked at the actual screen on the phone - it was complete not a scratch or crack on it.
I cleaned it carefully and put a new screensaver onto it. Now I have a brand new looking phone!
What an idiot!

Not photos of my actual phone.
Didn't appear on 'notifications' so only just seen this @Flossy ๐ง๐ง๐ง crikey, you were lucky! Funnily enough, I had an email from VodaFone yesterday offering me phone insurance on my new Samsung. They didn't list my model (A34 5g) on their dropdown so pretty pointless!! Not sure I would bother anyway but we will see. Might look at alternative providers.
Bet that was a relief @Flossy ๐ง๐ง๐ง
Hope you've got insurance now
