On the same theme I would like to pass on my tips for dealing with mosquito/ horsefly etc., bites.
I am unable to take antihistamines so a bit limited if bitten.
My biggest success was discovering that dampened ( used ones are fine) teabags are excellent to help. Put them in the fridge and then secure in place with a flannel or cling film. Instant relief.
I used to use raw garlic, ouch! @nabob

Also a piece of banana skin worked well too!

So alcohol and strong scent stops mosquitoes. We have always known that. Citronella or rose water with an alcohol base was used in the 18th century.
This is perhaps a simpler solution.
Don't know but it will certainly help the sale of Listerine! Probably best thing to do with it though!
