So on the 15th we went to Mersea Island Coopers Beach in Essex, which wasn't to bad, we left about 09:30, by the time we got to Dartford Tunnel it wasn't over busy. We stopped at a little restaurant about 30 min away from caravan site, we were hungry. We could've had lunch on site, but decided to stop as there were a couple of little shops too. We got to the site about 13:30, popped in reception, just to confirm we were there, had already checked in online. And lady said caravan was ready! Bonus we didn't have to wait till 16:00! Anyway we had a good week, probably spent to much, but it had been 4 years since we had a holiday, so this was a nice break! We decided it was to hot to go Colchester zoo for the day, tickets would've been expensive, and not guaranteed animals would have been all out, so decided to go in April for Dinkys birthday and we'll do a B&B too. We did catch a bus for Colchester, to Culver Square Shopping Centre. The bus shelter was funny, it had one deck chair! We were lucky a bus was running, and it's provided only for summer holiday, so it was a very limited service, the bus driver said we were the first customers in a very lo g time!
Also in the arcade room we spent a bit, but Dinky had fun, we managed to collect over 12,000 tickets! Made friends with the arcade man, that kept giving Dinky some sweets.
Here some photos, when the tide was out, you could see the sea bed and walk on it. We didn't as didn't have spare footware. Then it was lovely when it came in, did some crabbing with no luck.
The was a little church near campsite, so we visited it, it was a nice little church, it has a witch grave, with a metal frame over it to prevent her from escaping!
Overall we had a good time, and looking at caravan holiday for next summer.
Seems you had a really good holiday. Brilliant photos. Love the bus shelter - wonder who owns the seat and if he/she would have minded if anyone sat in it?
