Just popping in to see how you are doing. Have had quick look around and it seems you are all still chatting away. Seems a little on the quiet side but the 'hard core' seems to be thriving.
I've just had a long conversation with my consultant and he's given me a clean bill of health. Seems most of my health problems have been dealt with and the rest have simply slunk away - just left me with the usual aches and pains of an old lady. Hope I will be well enough to spend time on here again. I have missed the little chats we have. The site seems to be working well without any interfering by me bit if there is anything that needs attention please let me know.
I probably mentioned - maybe not - that I have been hacked by a Bitcoin ransom scam and all my data was shredded and I now have a new (ebay used cheappo) laptop and have had to go back to 2019 back up as the newer back-ups were shredded also. All my own fault of course. Should have known better - opened a ransom email in error and that's all it took. Anyway not bothered as I can recreate whatever was lost - it's just a pain having to do it.

@Flossy ๐ง๐ง ๐ง๐ง So glad you're ok. Not sure what ailed thee, but at least it's gone away. Sometimes things do; I used to have asthma and arthritis, both of which seem to be in remission. Weird. Laptop - oh gawd What a nightmare. We all know we shouldn't do it, don't we? So sorry. Oh well, something to play with now you're better! xx
I nearly fell for one scam, the scammer tried to be PayPal. Having had an account at the time but not using it regularly, I had an email, it looked alright to me but just as I was going to open it, my Total Security came across the screen with the warning - Do not open this e-mail is a scam. A day later I closed the account. The account was unused for some time. I do not use internet banking either. Even though everyone seems to think that it is the best thing since sliced bread. I strongly disagree. I am glad that you are back in harness, @Flossy ๐ง๐ง ๐ง๐ง, the forum is just not the same without you.

So pleased to hear the good news about your health @Flossy ๐ง๐ง ๐ง๐ง - not so good getting hacked!! It could happen to any of us of course, even if we do try to be as careful as possible. I'm sure you will be able to sort it out.
NEVER open an e-mail from anyone you do not recognise!
Although you have lost your data, the laptop is fine. Just undertake a DEEP reformat of the hard drive (or you can replace it).

Missing your chats @Flossy ๐ง๐ง ๐ง๐ง, glad you're on the mend. But you've been keeping up-to-date with us quietly ๐คซ. it's a worry when you get the emails. I check mine on my phone and get the option to see the senders email address if it looks suspicious. I haven't used my laptop for nearly a year now, or more? don't know. Anyway, nice to hear from you, and hope you're back soon chatting away with us.

Sorry to hear about the Bitcoin thing and the way your computer got bricked, could happen to anyone. I for one am going to be extra careful about which emails I open. in future.
