Oh yes, the free bus passes are very handy at times @harryflatters 1๐
It took us a long time to get here @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น but we feel so lucky to have now finally made it. Almost everything we need is within walking distance and there's a bus stop outside the door if we decide we want to go to Eastbourne town centre. Much better than driving and trying to find a parking space and of course free with our bus passes!!๐คฃ

Hello @harryflatters , WONDERFUL pictures I looked up why they do this as i didn't know and here is the answer if anyone is interested
Dredging is the act of removing silt and other material from the bottom of bodies of water. As sand and silt washes downstream, sedimentation gradually fill channels and harbors. This material must be periodically removed by dredging.
I bet it was far more interesting than an old repeat on TV. @harryflatters

In the last photo, the yacht just to the right of the bow (front!) of the dredger is just about to enter the lock to gain access to the Marina.
