I've just bought myself a rattan effect corner sofa lounge set with table in graphite. He will hate it! He loathes going out in the garden mainly because he suffers from hay fever very severely and sneezes even before he gets in the doorway. Wearing a mask helps but not much. Hay fever tablets don't help very much.
When I asked him for an opinion on the garden seating I was considering he wouldn't even have a look and said it was all unnecessary. Oh well I only wanted an opinion - never said I would take any notice of it.
Should be delivered by Tuesday - hope it doesn't come on Monday as I have to take the car for MOT and service then.
Shame it's raining today - I need to clear a space for the sofa to go in. Suppose I should have checked the dimensions before buying. Silly me. It comes flat packed and will need assembling but I expect it won't be too difficult - I have put together many flat packs before including a king sized bed all on my own.
Well, that's bored you all for today. If I ever get it assembled I'll post a picture.

Jealous you've got a spare room @duchess - we haven't got a spare inch! I'm big on double entendres and 'up' for 'drawers' work - used to be better at pulling them down than putting them up though! ๐คฃ
@Flossy ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ ! Can you come and erect my new Ikea desk and drawers (I think a couple of double entendres have snuck in there). And Chris has a new chair. I'm putting a desk in the spare room and taking my chair that I had to BUY from the NHS when I left, as it had been made for my skeleton and I've graciously let him use it for 4 years. Neither of us can carry the boxes upstairs, so I'm going to unpack and take the bits up. Ergh.
How exciting @Flossy ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ, please share a picture once assembled.
It sounds lovely @Flossy ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ , will you take a picture when it is installed please
Ooooh that sounds very nice Flossy. Well done you. That's not good for Flotson, I can't take antihistamines so use homeopathy which work well as I only have it mild. Good luck on Monday and hope the furniture assembly goes smoothly.
Wonderful @Flossy ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ that made me laugh! Hope it stops raining by the time it's delivered and that it proves easy to assemble. Good luck with the car on Monday! Sorry to hear about Flotson's hay fever especially since there are severe shortages of the various anti histamines. Numerous other drugs are also in seriously short supply apparently which is likely to be a serious issue in some cases. Everything here now is in a bit of a mess really!!
