I just thought that I would write and tell you all this, which I found out.
Well as you know we went without water from Wednesday to Sunday am, and we should have been given 12 bottled a day due to being on the priority list and yet we never did until the Sunday morning when they turned it back on.
Anyway I wrote them an email saying how rotten it all was without having water and yet our next door neibor who is not on their list got 12 bottles as from Thursday each and every day.
End of it being this.......
They telephoned me back and have given me ยฃ50.00 off of my next bill but also AND LISTEN TO THIS, due to the fact that we are on not alot of monies then also have been awarded 45% off of our annual water bill, that is nearly half, now I am telling you all this as if some of you are on a low pension then this too, can happen for you, apparently they don't go telling you about this and only told me as I was so mad at them.
So there you have it, if you are struggling then it is worth phoning your local water provider up as it is something NEW which has been brought in.

Thanks- that's interesting. Sorry you had no water for so long. Did your water get delivered to your neighbour?
When I contacted fixmystreet about our flood I got no response. Days later got an email saying that the water flooding in from the field had been damed with sand bags and had a photo of neighbours garden with lots of sandbags stopping the water entering their garden- but it was causing the water to flood into my garden and other neighbours gardens. Great job!
I'm glad you have water now, and it's all sorted, strange they missed you with the water, but it was a good thing in disguise, as now you have benefited from the discount. We're on low income, and won't qualify for it, but I can mention it to my in-laws, maybe they'd qualify. Thank you for this information and I hope you're feeling better too @Happygirl . We're both still without dentist, hubby's teeth are getting worse, mine I'm guessing are still ok. But I'm ever so glad that now Dinky has a dentist. We simply can't afford private. Especially hubby that will need about 4/5 fillings and they won't do a deal.
@Happygirl I didn't know about the reduction, that's really good to know. Glad you got your water sorted at last and that you got some compensation, Strange that they missed you with the bottled water.
With us both being on state pension, about 400 for the both of us, we don't qualify for pension credit guarantee so have to pay about 69% of our rent and about 75% of our council tax, no free glasses or dentists. Last time I went to the dentist for a Check up it was supposed to be twenty five pound something on the NHS dentist did it privately for a tenner, I think he felt sorry for me lol
I am so pleased that you have now got your water supply back. It's very bad that you didn't get the service you should have done, being on their priority list. Now you have been in touch, I suspect they might have reinforced their records to that effect!! So pleased, also, that you have got some help with future bills. That should make a big difference to your cashflow and make it easier for you to cope financially.
