There i was happily watching telly when all of a sudden- complete darkness. There was a power cut in every house down our road and surrounding roads. Luckily we have a couple of large torches so I managed to find matches and light some candles. Two separate neighbours rang to check on us and make sure we had candles, bless them. Thankfully it was only for 45 minutes, and we then had to go around resetting all the clocks. Reminded me of the 70s when we had blackouts on a regular basis.

@Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น They are not really indoor solar lights. They are intended as outdoor intruder type lighting Rob has just placed the solar panels behind curtains facing outwards and they have been working really well. They are not too conspicuous from the outside. I have even set up a string of fairy lights which Nic bought me some years ago inside the log cabin instead of outside and they have been going strong for 5 years now. Lights up very prettily from dusk to dawn in the summer and from dusk to well into the night in the winter.
