First G&T of 2023 - on the balcony, albeit with a fleece on and only for an hour or so! Harbour like a mill pond, 3 seals cruising around and a sky you wouldn't believe! How lucky we are. 'Dry January' nearly happened but what the hell - we are not here for a long time, we are here for a good time! Hope 2023 brings you all everything you hope for. I'm getting my second cataract dealt with end of Feb. so that's a good start for me!!

Bit of a delay in replying to this, @harryflatters ! You are, as you say, very lucky. Tally ho! reminded me that we are in hunting country here. Poor Chris had to go out and shoot a couple of deer a few weeks ago. Nothing to do with a hunt, although they might have been spooked. One had damaged its back legs and it took several days and idiots seeing it and not photographing it in situ for someone to call Chris to deal with it and while he was doing that, the vineyard called to say another one was caught in barbed wire and had to be despatched as it couldn't be extricated. So he's become the de facto deer hunter, for no reason. Loads of peeps have guns around here, but he's the one they called. I suppose being a trained killler helps, but he came back v. upset and didn't want to talk about it, thank goodness😪....
