We already have 3 bins - Brown for garden waste, Black for general landfill rubbish and Green for recycle. In the next couple of weeks we are going to be issued with a fourth one!
A Purple one for paper and cardboard..
I'm lucky and have plenty of space for bins and don't have to drag them out onto the kerb, but there are neighbours who struggle with the existing bins. Is the next step for us to tow the bins to the refuse centres?

After moaning about the wheelie bins I suppose I should be grateful - one brother still has rubbish collected in black bags and animals are always ripping them open and storing them is a nightmare in this heat. And they are limited to 4 bags only. No food waste - that has to go into a 'caddy' - Give me wheelie bins any day.

Yes, we have black bin bags for rubbish and clear bags for recycle @Flossy ๐ง๐ง๐ง
We also have a black plastic tub for all glass and it is taken every two weeks
We also pay for a green garden waste bag. ยฃ36.00 per year as our @roz said
Actually a good idea.
Would like separate bins (small), collected every four weeks, for
paper/card
glass
metal
plastic
and then big bins, collected every two weeks, for
garden
general
In that way we would get one big bin and one small bin collected each week.
@Flossy ๐ง๐ง๐ง @Janet ๐๐ฐ๐๐น they have had four bins here for years but the garden one is optional, if you have one of those you have to pay ยฃ36 a year for the privilege so we only have one for general waste, one for cans, bottles and certain plastics and one for paper and card. They come in to two sizes so you can have smaller ones if you don't have much waste or space.
No problems with collections here at the moment one week it's general rubbish and the next week it the recyclables.
I am so grateful for our wheelie bins too @Flossy ๐ง๐ง๐ง we have Rubbish, recycle and a garden bin. In Hampshire at the moment we have a problem with collections sometimes a week late. This is due to a reduction in drivers through illness or needing more staff.
